Detrick, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award. Incumbents are encouraged to apply The salary range for this exempt position has been established at: $105,000-$119,000. This range represents the company's estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. We also offer benefits including holidays, paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with company match. The position will be posted until filled or withdrawn. Responsibilities Support tasks within the Bacteriology Division, requiring proficiency in Excel, MS Project, and the ability to work independently, lead teams, multi-task, and communicate effectively. A minimum of two years in a science laboratory environment, one year of project management experience, a degree in project management or PMP certification, and a T3 investigation are required. Maintain visibility on cost, schedule, and performance of the Division's portfolio; manage financial, business, and project execution processes; and communicate with scientists, staff, and leadership. Exercise project management best practices for research projects, coordinating teams, schedules, and communication to ensure project success. Support contractual agreements with government, industry, or academic partners, working closely with the Office of Research Technology Applications (ORTA) and Principal Investigators. Assist in research proposal and agreement support, budget estimates, tracking project schedules and performance, and managing project change requests. Provide data, document, and manuscript support, including quality control and review of project documents and reports. Offer training and mentorship to new and current project managers, and support project execution through coordination and documentation. Participate in meetings with leadership and funding agencies, and assist with technical reports, proposals, and manuscripts. Travel may be required to scientific conferences or meetings. Manage an annual research budget of approximately $10-15M and oversee a Division research portfolio of $20-$30M.
