With a strong focus on providing outstanding service, coordinate the talent acquisition activities for both internal and external candidate sourcing, utilizing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Lead special talent acquisition related projects and support Employee Relation initiatives. Maintains and manages all recruiting/staffing metrics and records relating to talent acquisition in accordance with Federal and State laws.
Recruitment
- Analyzes local job markets, forecasts employment needs, and assists with the development of annual recruitment plans.
- Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
- Using a variety of recruiting techniques and sources (including social media), generate qualified and diverse pools of high caliber candidates for open positions and develop a pipeline of talent for future workforce planning.
- Builds and maintains partnerships with hiring managers, applicants, community organizations, placement agencies, and other recruiting resources in a manner that supports RCU's mission, vision, values, and culture, and yields success, predictable results, and credibility.
- Responsible for the hard-to-fill positions.
- Coordinate the employment, transfer and promotion process in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Track recruitment efforts and review and analyze internal and external employment applications.
- Conduct initial telephone interviews and refer qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Coordinate, schedule, and participate in interviews as requested.
- Conduct recruitment and selection training as needed.
- Regularly conduct out-reach efforts in all communities served by Redwood Credit Union in order to identify candidates for our talent pipeline.
- Manage RCU's college recruiting program and attend applicable events.
- Promote Redwood Credit Union with candidates and staff at all levels answering questions and ensuring smooth new hire assimilation.
- Provide guidance and direction for starting wages for job offers based on candidates' qualifications, our Compensation Administration Program, internal equity, and RCU policies and procedures.
- Draft and send correspondence in accordance with RCU procedures acknowledging applicants, interviewees and new hires.
- Order background, bondability, and reference checks from third-party vendor on candidates to be hired, once an initial and contingent offer has been extended and accepted.
- Write and record job postings and advertisements in a format suitable for internal and external distribution, ensuring that the RCU brand and message is consistent with our Recruiting Positioning Statement.
- Contact external advertising sources to arrange cost effective job advertising.
- Contact external recruiters and placement agencies to identify qualified candidates to fill key and temporary positions.
- Respond to questions regarding recruitment and selection practices and procedures.
- Develop and maintain database of behavioral based interview questions that tie back to individual competencies for each position.
- Will apply extensive knowledge and skills in the recruitment discipline in order to contribute to advanced development of the organization and function.
- Responsible for ensuring the Open Requisition Report is current and accurate
- Recommend payment and control recruiting expenses within budget.
- May lead major project initiatives, including process improvements.
- Review recruitment and selection material for compliance with internal procedures.
- Perform maintenance of HRIS database and compile reports as needed.
- Participate in staff and company meetings.
- Scans documents files and reports as needed.
- Participate in the coordination of company events.
- Promote employee relations and RCU with employees at all levels when interacting with staff or answering questions
- Respond to and refer all employee relations concerns in order to resolve issues and answer questions
- Maintain and continuously improve the recruitment process from feedback received from candidates, employees and hiring managers
- Provide assistance for internal employee relations investigations.
- Perform special projects, research and analysis as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Thorough knowledge of recruitment and selection methods and procedures.
- Current knowledge of California and federal labor laws, rules and regulations related to recruitment and selection including affirmative action planning.
- Knowledge of HRIS and applicant tracking database operations and applications.
- Strong skills in the operation of a PC with the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, applicant tracking, and human resource information system software.
- Extensive experience running reports and tracking metrics.
- Extensive experience with progressive recruiting techniques such as search engines, LinkedIn, and other online networking communities.
- Exceptional relationships management ability.
- Must be able to quickly assimilate information and build solutions to meet business needs.

Licenses and Certifications - Maintain a valid California driver's license.
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree in human resource management, business or closely related field and five years human resources experience including recruitment.
- Experience recruiting in a financial institution highly preferred.
Compensation: Starting hourly range is $40.00 to $49.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
