**Job Summary:** Deliver catering orders and internal inventory transfers, supplies, records, and other company property in a safe, timely, and professional manner representative of the high standards and core values of Phils BBQ.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**

* Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the core values and mission of Phils BBQ (PHILS).

* Successfully complete the company delivery driver training program.

* Deliver orders to residential, commercial, airport, Petco Park, Tribal and government locations.

* Generate or follow efficient delivery routes to minimize customer wait times and ensure timely deliveries.

* Collect payment for catering and event orders as needed.

* Compile all order tickets, event orders, receipts, and card payment documents for completed delivery orders.

* Submit all order tickets, event orders, receipts, and card payment documents to MOD in restaurant or to Catering Department office upon completion of deliveries or catered events.

* Report and record all tips or gratuities upon completion of deliveries or catering events.

* Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change as required (if applicable).

* Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas associated with the job function (trucks, pushcarts, EMV card processing devices, etc.)

* Immediately report equipment issues, accidents, injuries, or truck damage/maintenance issues to management.

* Cooperate in any job-related investigations or insurance claims.

* Listen to, report and assist in resolving any customer complaints regarding customer service or orders.

* Always follow and obey all safety guidelines, rules, and laws.

* Load delivery trucks, safely operate, and properly unload delivery trucks for point of sale deliveries or events.

* Assist the restocking and replenishment of products and supplies as stipulated in the shift duties.

* Attend all scheduled mandatory employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.

* Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests needs and support the operation of the restaurant.

* Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

* Record your shift times including all meal and rest breaks.

* Provide sales promotion materials to customers, as directed.

**Minimum Qualifications & Physical Requirements:**

* Must be 21 years of age or older.

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

* Authorized to work in the USA (we E-Verify).

* Must have valid driver license and satisfactory driving record for insurance purposes.

* Employment conditional upon satisfactorily passing DMV EPN record check and insurance approval.

* Must have at least 4 years minimum of continuous driving experience and no DUIs within past 6 years.

* Must be able to satisfactorily and safely operate a Chevy truck, Toyota minivan or Honda Element.

* Possess suitable communication skills to create a positive interaction experience with our guests.

* Possess CA Food Handler Card (will certify if lacking).

* Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (will certify if lacking).

* Able to read, write, understand and speak using the English language (Spanish a plus).

* Able to read a map and interpret written directions.

* Possess strong math skills, make change as necessary, and process credit cards transactions.

* Able to work while sitting and driving for a long period of time (up to 4 hours).

* Able to see with 100% accuracy with or without correction.

* Able to hear with 100% accuracy with or without correction.

* Able to frequently reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, climb, grip objects, and frequently lift from 5-30 pounds.

* Able to work in a standing or walking position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
