Job Responsibilities

  • Design test plans and procedures to accurately assess new assemblies.
  • Create detailed, step-by-step documentation of test procedures for each phase or project as needed to ensure replicability, compliance with standards, and growth of company knowledge base.
  • Implement testing according to the procedures and guidelines, as part of the test team.
  • Identify, analyze and create detailed records of problems that appear during testing, such as software defects, bugs, functionality issues, and output errors, and work to find solutions and develop retesting procedures.
  • Track problems, resolutions, and bug fixes throughout testing and document comprehensively.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with test personnel, users, and engineers to facilitate quick resolution of problems and accurate documentation.
  • Provide frequent feedback to engineers, including recommendations for improvements, evaluation of problems, potential solutions, and discussion of further test requirements.
  • Design and implement automated testing tools when possible, and update tools as needed to ensure currency and accuracy.
  • Analyze data from testing and compile reports for sharing within the team and uploading them to document repositories so that they are appropriately logged.
  • Maintain and update hardware to ensure it is available and suitable to handle the necessary tasks.
Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Degree in engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and when certain strategies are recommended.
  • Well-rounded experience with multiple operating systems and test environments
  • Knowledge or practical use of scripting languages.
  • Direct experience with Mat Lab.
  • Working knowledge and experience with LabView or similar Test Equipment programming tools.
  • Strong familiarity with data gathering from analog and digital sensors.
  • Formindable de-bugging and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills and commitment to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
