job summary:
A Materials and Planning Analyst is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Medley, FL area. The Materials and Planning Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining BOMs and Material Masters, collaborating across departments to ensure alignment with MRP systems, and supporting efficient manufacturing and procurement processes to meet customer requirements.

responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Planning, and Program Leads to establish and maintain the Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM).

  • Modify the Design Engineering BOM structure to facilitate Ease of Manufacturing.

  • Maintain and monitor Part Master data and Product Structure in MRP systems throughout the parts and MBOMs life cycle.

  • Incorporate changes to the MBOM as specified by approved Engineering Change documents or process allowances.

  • Partner with Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Integrated Production Leads (IPLs), Production Control (PC), and Manufacturing Engineering (ME) to manage effective dates and minimize inventory position.

  • Define and communicate actions required by other departments to implement Engineering Changes into work-in-process material and purchased material.

  • Apply standards to MBOM data, including unique data coding standards for special processes such as outside processing.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for collaborative teamwork.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to research issues and support solution development.

  • strong analytical skills with attention to detail for data accuracy and completeness.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

  • Experience working with technical/engineering documents and Engineering Data Management tools.

  • Master Data execution experience in an ERP environment, preferably SAP.
Education and Experience:

  • University degree with 2 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or a related field or

  • An Associate's degree with 4 years of experience or 6 years of experience without a degree.
