PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Partner with other fixed income investment professionals to improve our understanding of relevant credit documents and other complex legal issues to enhance investment outperformance. Serve as an advisor for special situations throughout the firm, with subject matter expertise in covenants, in-court restructurings, and out-of-court liability management exercises. Help defend against liability management exercises and covenant evolutions that impair creditor rights. • Interact with management teams, external experts and other TRP investment professionals, including fixed income and equity analysts.
  • Communicate insights and investment recommendations orally and in writing to various internal constituencies, including Analysts and Portfolio Managers.
  • Manage workflow and critical processes for distressed investments, including outreach to other creditors, negotiating with counterparties and their advisors, and representing TRP on creditor committees and industry associations.

  • Willingness to pursue new ideas and propose new investments, supporting one's ideas to questioning by Portfolio Managers and other Analysts.
  • Curiosity and flexibility to work with other Analysts and Portfolio Managers throughout the organization and in various asset classes, as opportunities and market conditions warrant.
