Specifically in this role you can expect to:Work with suppliers regarding defective materialHelp drive to root cause for defects and ensure corrective actions are in placeFollow up and close Quality Alerts for defective materialProvide line support for various testsMachine/system troubleshooting (electrical, electronic, hydraulic, communications, etc.)Work closely with engineering to prepare factory systems for current product and NPI (new product introduction)A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.Top Candidates for this position may also have:Hands on experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems and/or components, including reading electrical schematicsBachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related technical fieldHands on experience working on and troubleshooting other complex machine systems (hydraulic, engine, powertrain)Experience with Small Wheel Loader (SWL) Bill of Material configurationsManufacturing experienceExperience documenting standard workValidation of out of process work confirming safety and quality exceed expectationIn Process Validation (IPV) and/or test experienceStrong ability to multitask, prioritize, and react to changing prioritiesAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of employeesRelocation assistance is not available for this positionISE is not available for this positionHow we support you (Employee benefits)Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career including the potential to advance your career into operations leadership and other advanced manufacturing positions.
