Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer Location: Billerica, MA Requisition #: 6882 Job Description: Manufacturing Process Engineer - Responsible for the development of products that filter and purify process chemistries used in semi processing. Works closely with the production team to drive initiatives to increase output, reduce scrap and rework, eliminate waste, improve overall efficiency, and ensure quality and safety are built into processes at every step. Maintain presence in the cleanroom manufacturing area to provide sustaining manufacturing support. Resolve day to day production/process issues; acts as the area owner in assembly and works closely with operators, other engineers, R&D, NPI, and quality. Develop, lead and implement projects which improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which support corporate objectives, such as on-time delivery, productivity, and scrap reduction. Improve maturity of process data and apply statistical methods to develop a deeper understanding of our process with the goal of achieving higher yields and efficiency. Support the development of lean manufacturing processes such as SPC or Lean/Six Sigma in resolving manufacturing product issues, continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training, and employee involvement. Work with teams to identify problems, analyze information, and develop and implement process solutions. Apply manufacturing best practices to drive safety, quality, reliability, and predictability into everything we do. Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures. Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline and 5 years progressive post-bachelor's experience as a manufacturing engineer or chemical processing engineer in a manufacturing environment. Requires 2 years experience in the following: Utilization of manufacturing methodologies such as SPC and Lean/Sigma tools and methodologies to resolve complex manufacturing challenges; Yield Improvement and Rework/Waste Reduction; For confidential consideration, apply at: www.entegris.com/careers .
