The Accountant is responsible for, but not limited to, performing general accounting functions that include reconciling all balance sheet accounts, resolving exceptions, posting entries, and assisting with month end closing and financial reporting.

MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Reconciles all balance sheet accounts on monthly basis.
Resolves exceptions on balance sheet accounts.
Reconciles cash management on a daily/monthly basis.
Handles all cash receipts and accounts receivable entries.
Maintains accounts payable and accounts receivable aging schedules.
Reconciles construction in progress accounts monthly.
Prepares and posts daily job cost entries for equipment day rates.
Prepares and posts direct job cost entries.
Assists with monthly financial reporting.
Participates in various audits throughout year.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to communicate across various levels of the organization.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must be able to function in a challenging environment with changing priorities.
Must participate in and share ideas for change, innovation, and improvement of team output.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as, general ledgers, bid specification details, accounting rules, operating and fiscal management manuals, procedure manuals, or governmental regulations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning people and financial issues.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related business field of study.
• Minimum of 5 years of general accounting experience.
