Perform numerical modeling using finite-element methods as implemented in PLAXIS. Design earth-retaining structures, slope stabilization, remedial grading, landslide mitigation, and foundations. Perform settlement analyses, liquefaction analyses, and seismic evaluations. Develop geotechnical recommendations, plans, and specifications for the construction of private and public projects. Support field activities including exploratory logging, observation of deep foundation construction, shoring, grading operations, and other geotechnically relevant construction. Complete field, analytical, and project administrative tasks with direction and support from peers and leadership. Learn increasingly more complex, non-routine tasks with review and oversight from senior staff.
