Position Profile

Reporting to the CEO, and based in our new corporate center in Hackensack, NJ, the

Senior Marketing Director

is responsible for leading the execution of a fully integrated marketing strategy with an emphasis on demand generation, brand management, digital marketing, and product marketing.

In this role, you will define, communicate, and help execute a cohesive marketing strategy, inclusive of a digital approach that creates meaningful calls to action, presence at critical industry events that exposes decision-makers to OnScent's unique capabilities, a content platform that positions OnScent as a thought leader in the space, and demand generation and sales enablement program to reach new customer prospects more effectively. You will also design a customer marketing strategy supporting ongoing customer retention.

This is both a strategic role and an execution/doer role. The successful candidate will be rolling up their sleeves and working alongside the rest of the marketing and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that elevates the OnScent brand and aligns with the company's growth objectives.

Create and execute best-in-class outbound marketing campaigns to support demand generation within existing customer base and new client acquisition.

Lead the company's demand generation and lead nurturing capabilities, optimizing and standardizing across the organization to meet or exceed targets.

Own the end-to-end lead management process in conjunction with Sales.

Lead the marketing efforts for new fragrance product launches, including product positioning, promotion, and distribution strategies. Create and deliver product and/or concept presentations as part of the buying process.

Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and customer preferences to guide marketing decisions and product development.

Build-up, manage and mentor a high-performing marketing team, providing leadership, direction, and support to achieve department goals.

Utilize data-driven insights to measure and optimize the impact of marketing activities on customer retention and growth.

Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and measuring ROI on marketing initiatives. Partner with sales to build and execute against a forecast.

Oversee the continuous evolution and maintenance of a strong brand identity, ensuring it resonates with target audience and maintains consistency across all marketing channels.

Ensure that all marketing materials and strategies comply with relevant industry regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field of study.

Must have at least 5-10 years of experience in Marketing and managing a team.

Experience within the fragrance industry or equivalent is preferred. Experience in the cosmetic ingredient or fragrance industry is a plus.

Experience as a marketing leader working for a private equity-backed, middle market company as a marketing leader is strongly preferred.

Strong working knowledge of Salesforce experience. Marketing automation platform experience is a plus (Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot)

Strong negotiation & problem solving skills.
