Come join a growing organization Neogen is looking to hire an Accounting Manager at our Lexington location.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

* Supervises Senior Accountant and General Accountant

ACCOUNTING:

* The preparation of monthly financial statements.* Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances* Researches variances found during financial statement review and makes any necessary reclass journal entries.* Conducts internal review of financial statements with divisional management.* Supporting month-end and year-end close.* Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations.* Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.* Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses.* Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules.* Assisting with initial internal control evaluations.** Maintains and controls promotional distributor rebates and adjusts monthly accrual as needed.* Accrues for approved Marketing promotional programs as necessary.* Bills vendors or promotion partners when amounts are due to Neogen.* Prepares vendor chargeback forms and follows up on collection of vendor amounts due.* Participates in physical inventory counts.* Performs training on use of ERP system when requested.* Review and approve DEA orders and licenses for release.* Reviews intercompany charges.* Performs miscellaneous financial analysis as requested.* Responds to requests by corporate accounting departments.

MICELLANEOUS:

* Participates in staff meetings.* Conducts internal audits.* Communicates all problems and exceptions to manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting from four-year college or university* 3-5 year related experience and/or training* OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
