What you will do:
The Operations Specialist II - Infrastructure reports directly to the AOM and is responsible for supporting safe operation, regulatory and environmental permit compliance of Infrastructure processes as assigned. This position identifies and provides process improvement initiatives and provides expertise in multiple, complex, interacting areas of Infrastructure production. This role is vital to help maintain safety, quality, and compliance through area ownership, collaboration, communication, and coordination with the team.
SWP permit review and coordination, 30%.
EIP creation and validation, 20%.
Scope creation and coordination for large scale annual projects, 10%.
Training and other jobs as assigned, 10%.
POD/ Work Instruction/ JSA development and updates, 20%.
Attending required area walks PSSR, 5S, Return to Service validation, 10%.
What we need from you:
AS degree in a technical field preferred or Completion of the Chemical Operator program at Chattanooga State Community College (or equivalent program).
5+ years of professional experience in a technical/production environment required.
Experience with Utilities preferred.
Strong understanding of natural gas fired steam boilers and condensate return and supply systems; Cooling water and Industrial water systems; wastewater treatment and associated equipment; and technical gas systems, hydrogen, nitrogen, compressed air.
Basic computer skills and good organizational skills.
Ability to organize and lead large projects and influence work groups.
The Operations Specialist will have a primary and secondary assigned area as determined by the AOM. These areas are subject to change based on departmental needs.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if needed around site and departmental outages.
