Job DescriptionSavannah River National Laboratory is seeking to hire an Electrical Engineer. The selected candidate will be employed at the Savannah River National Laboratory, in Advanced Engineering.ResponsibilitiesInitial focus will be on automation, robotics, controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition system development. Develop scope of work, schedules and budgets while creating project proposals. We are seeking creative, flexible, and self-motivated individuals able to lead multidisciplinary teams and individually to develop one-of-a-kind engineering solutions in a safe and responsible manner. Ideal candidates are engineers capable of developing, designing, fabricating, assembling, testing, calibrating, and deploying systems to meet unique complex technical challenges. Expected to deliver results in a timely and cost-effective manner. Understands and applies advanced knowledge of standard theories, concepts, principles, and techniques in engineering. Prepare technical manuals, reports, procedures, and invention disclosures. Candidates should have the ability to develop technical scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for proposed projects. Engineers are expected to track project schedules and budgets while guiding early career engineers. Use SRNL systems and meet requirements with minimal supervisory guidance. PLC System development and programming experience Accepts complex tasks and drive projects to completion delivering results expected by the customer. Ability to lead small multi-disciplinary project teamsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications: BS + 7-9 yrs; MS + 6-8 yrs; PhD + 5-7 yrs of relevant experience. Degree in ElectricalPreferred Qualifications: Masters Degree and 6-8 years of experience Experience developing proposals Experience leading small technical teams Experience in an equipment development environment Experience developing Control Systems, Data Acquisition PLC System development and programming experience including AI, Sensor Integration, or Machine Learning.
