We are searching for an Electronic Technical Support Representative for the U.S. based PreSonus teamworking in-office at PreSonus Corporate headquarters in Baton Rouge, LA As an Electronic Technical Support Representative, you will be responsible for assisting our Dealers and Authorized Service partners with audio hardware products, including but not limited to interfaces, mixers, controllers, and speakers. This job requires troubleshooting and directing the repair of stand-alone and networked audio hardware.

This is a hybrid position based out of Baton Rouge, LA with visits to the office at least three times per week.

Essential Functions:

  • Respond to all requests for electronic product support which are received through fax, e-mail, queued phone calls, direct phone calls, and in person.
  • Answer general and technical questions for Dealers, DSM's, Service Centers, Consumers, and internal employees regarding electronic product related problems.
  • Make determinations for out-of-warranty accommodation sales of proprietary/warranty-only electronic parts to be sold for the purpose of product repair through an FMIC/PreSonus Authorized Dealer or Service Center.
  • Issue Return Authorizations for defective electronic products, and related parts.
  • Repair of product, in-house in Baton Rouge.
  • Input defective product replacement orders.
  • Review, input, and approve electronic product warranty repair claims.
  • Inform the Customer Service Manager of pertinent trends regarding failures in the field with respect to electronic products manufacturing and accessories.
  • Assist in the creation of technical documents, notes, and bulletins.
  • Special projects for R&D or other departments as required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a technical support or similar role is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Electronics/engineering training from a college or trade school is preferred.
  • Verifiable electronic product repair experience.
  • Repair service experience on FMIC/PreSonus electronic products.
  • Competent at reading electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer Skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics, and SAP programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FMIC and PreSonus brands products and accessories.
