As part of a small team, you are responsible for managing transportation and business processes to ensure that they meet customer requirements. You will work with procurement, sales, production control and all shipping personnel. Responsibilities include but not limited to analyzing freight bills, payments, and shipment planning. Logistics Analysts provide relevant functional support, including accuracy and timeliness of data processing, report generation, problem analysis, and customer-specific inquiries, generate periodic customer metrics and develop customer performance reports. Support of all Transportation and other Logistics functions are also expected. To do so, you are a proactive, service-oriented individual with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Coordination of external carriers to ensure proper aerospace hardware transportation requirements are met
Execution of Truck Request to external carriers to ensure proper transportation requirements are met within delivery of aerospace hardware.
Daily review and approval of Freight bills
Monthly business reports for process improvements and budget analysis
Research and create cost estimates for improvement in transportation options within contracts
Analyze and present process improvements for managing costs to maintain budget
Interaction with both internal and external customers to meet demands to support Blue Origin production requirements
Oversee and help with loading and unloading of trucks
Work closely with inventory team, production schedulers and engineers to ensure parts are kitted as specified in Bills of Material ensuring shipments meet production dates
Working with manufacturing and engineering personnel, to facilitate any special or urgent requirements
Providing back up support for all logistics shipping functions
Identifying opportunities for improvement in Supply Chain Organization
Qualifications:
2 years' Experience in Logistics, Transportation, and Shipment of aerospace hardware
2 years' Experience working with transportation contracts and dispatching loads
49 CFR Hazardous Material Certification for all modes of transportation
Experience with Shipping Department functions which include material handling, packaging delicate aerospace hardware and hazardous materials, and raw materials such as metals
Techniques for calculating weights and dimensions of shipments
Analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions
Ability to safely drive a forklift and perform elevated work
An attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Desired:
Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, medical or military environments
Experience with International Shipments
An Associates or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management
Compensation range for on-site WA applicants is $28.09-$37.45
