As an Equity Processor/Closer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Obtaining proper documentation to substantiate information used to qualify members for a mortgage loan, including ordering third-party products
  • Maintain thorough product, system, and regulatory knowledge by attending various training sessions regarding mortgage regulations and procedures and apply this knowledge throughout the mortgage process
  • Obtaining and analyzing income and employment information according to TFCU policies and procedures

Salary Range:

The starting salary is $26.32 per hour; however, actual placement within the range will be determined individually based on your experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity.

Education/Experience:

  • An Associate's degree and two years of relatable experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience are required.

Applicable work and/or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for one year of education

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Bondability by CUMIS.
  • SAFE Act registration required.
  • TFCU University certification required.

Keys to success:

In order to be successful as an Equity Processor/Closer, you must possess these qualifications:

  • Knowledge of real estate practice and real estate law
  • Ability to effectively communicate loan decisions to members
  • Knowledge of FNMA and VA underwriting, including the automated Underwriting System
  • Knowledge of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act regarding data collection and reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of mortgage loan application process
  • Knowledge of TFCU products, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of loan policies, loan rate structure, and federal lending regulations
  • Good organization skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office operating environment and Automated Underwriting System
  • Ability to use and maintain basic, fundamental office equipment
  • Ability to effectively communicate loan decisions to members
