To support their expansion in the United States, they are seeking a Service Coordinator based in Houston, TX.

Job Description

As a Service Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of their service and support functions. Your responsibilities will encompass after-sales service activities, handling malfunctions and complaints, managing customer inquiries and orders, and providing critical support to the service engineers. Additionally, you will be responsible for inventory management, restocking, and reconciliation, contributing to the companys commitment to efficient and accurate warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

After Sales Service:

  • Promote and provide after-sales service products, including common wear parts and consumables.
  • Actively seek out and engage with prospects interested in profiling equipment products.
  • Follow up on proposals to convert leads into customers.

Malfunctions and Complaints:

  • Analyze service-related issues.
  • Expedite the resolution of malfunctions through close customer communication and by consulting documentation, procedures, and colleagues.
  • Escalate complex issues to the Technical Support Engineers.
  • Keep customers informed about the progress of service issue resolution.

Questions, Orders, and Visits:

  • Organize and schedule service visits by Service Engineers.
  • Assist in resolving complex issues by collaborating with Technical Support Engineers.
  • Provide backup support to Service Engineers in the field.
  • Offer spare parts and consumables to customers as part of the after-sales service process.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain an organized inventory system within the warehouse, including labeling and categorizing items for easy retrieval.
  • Perform regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and facilitate restocking as needed.
  • Collaborate with procurement to place orders for inventory restocking based on established reorder points.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the replenishment of critical parts to prevent shortages.
  • Implement inventory reconciliation procedures to identify and address discrepancies promptly.

Shipping and Logistics:

  • Prepare orders for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and verifying contents against customer orders.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to arrange the transportation and delivery of parts and equipment to customers' specified locations.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials if applicable.
  • Track and monitor shipment progress, providing customers with accurate delivery estimates.
  • Handle customs documentation and international shipping requirements when shipping products globally.

Profile

  • Bachelors Degree or work experience in a relevant field or position.
  • Previous experience in after-sales service is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and experience with an ERP system.
  • Familiarity with an international field service environment and project-based organization.
  • Demonstrated self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
