Our focus on timeliness and efficiency makes us a standout in the transportation industry, and we rely heavily on our drivers to maintain this reputation. In this role, you will ensure the safe transportation of goods, directly impacting our dedication to exceptional service standards. Operate a tractor-trailer or flatbed within local routes to ensure the safe delivery of freight. Load and unload cargo proficiently, confirming cargo is secured. Perform inspections before and after a trip, and report any discrepancies or maintenance issues. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, adhering to federal regulations. Adhere to all safety and DOT regulations. Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible. Handle basic maintenance checks of the vehicle, including routine check-ups and refueling as needed. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and store managers to ensure the timely delivery of goods. Ability to operate a manual transmission and adhere to weight limits and height restrictions. Time management skills to ensure deliveries are made on time. Strong organizational skills and the ability to navigate various routes. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Basic mechanical skills to manage minor repairs on the road.
