Compliance Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates, monitors and works with all internal compliance efforts such as Quality Audits and Checklists.
- Coordinates, monitors and works with all Vendors to meet Quality/Compliance expectations for the products they provide.
- Coordinates, monitors and works with all Customers and Certifying Bodies to meet Quality/Compliance requirements for the production. Including but not limited to: Kosher, FSSC22K, Gluten Free and Organic.
- Serve as liaison with Federal, State and local agencies and officials pertaining to all compliance issues. Agencies include, but are not limited to: MPCA, FDA, OSHA, TTB, State of MN and DNR.
- Manages the Quality Control Batching Compliance team in charge of ingredient kit verifications.
- Manages all Alcohol Compliance label reporting, production reporting and associated alcohol tax payments.
- Works with management in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals as it relates to Compliance and Quality.
- Makes recommendations regarding areas of responsibility to meet all Compliance and Quality requirements.
- Reviews regulatory publications to keep apprised of new regulatory developments.
- Conducts management meetings with appropriate Managers/Supervisors to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives of Compliance and Quality.
- Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
- Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products on market to rectify problems.
- Reviews competitors and industry catalogs, drawings, procedures, and other available data relative to operations, maintenance and service of equipment to stay current with trends and technologies of the business and industry.
- Reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format and content of various materials.
- All other duties as assigned by the Director or required by the customer.

3. Report any non-conformance to Supervisor immediately.
4. Know all quality standards and expectations of position and if not sure, ask supervisor before

resources per company policy and Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee
Handbook.
2. Report any waste or poor conservation practices to your immediate Supervisor.
3. Continuously looking for improved practices and processes in your position, and contributing these
ideas to your immediate supervisor

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires regular standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Regular typing/keyboarding, writing and filing. Position must be able to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers and visitors.

TYPICAL WORKING ENVIRONMENT: This position works primarily in an office environment, but may spend up to 20% or more of their time in the production environment or out of the office. May have need to travel to other company or customer locations as well.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree in Quality Engineering preferred or comparable
experience.
Experience: 3-5 years Corporate Communication and Compliance experience leading and directing
in a high speed production environment.
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities: This position requires above average verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of production operations, including all safety
requirements. Also must be goal oriented, and be able to work independently.
Must be able to direct and lead people, and can effectively work with all levels of
personnel.
