Summary

Under the direction of the Shared Business Operations Accounting Manager, a Staff Accountant is responsible for contributing to the success of the Day-to-Day Accounting/ GL Transaction Processing team and overall success of the organization.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

General ledger management: Recording financial transactions in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the records. Integration Accuracy: Assist with reconciling daily integration accuracy by utilizing suspense accounts. Month End Close: Assist the Senior Accountants during the close processes; monthly, quarterly and year end. Communication and collaboration: Collaborating with other departments, such as Corporate Accounting, other SBO Finance teams, and operations, to ensure that financial records and transactions are accurately recorded and reported. Process Improvement: Assist in assessing current processes and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to accounting.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university

Required Experience: Two (2) or more years of experience in Accounting/Finance setting and general accounting knowledge.

Preferred Experience: Experience in Oracle Cloud.

Preferred License/Registration/Certification: CPA, preferred

Computer Skills Required: Google Suite preferred; willingness to learn Oracle and leverage the training, reporting, and process components to excel at role
