EMPLOYMNET QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge acquired through a high school education, plus two or more years technical training or equivalent.Previous work experience with equipment repairs related to Electrical, Plumbing and Ventilation systems.Demonstrated skills and ability to operate a variety of plant equipment, hand and power tools in a safe manner.Must possess good over-all mechanical skills.Must have a current Virginia drivers license.Ability to work varied shifts and schedules to accommodate hospital needs.III ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Performs preventive maintenance on equipment; completes required documentation on schedule. Maintains and repairs plumbing systems to include unstopping drain lines, repair leaks traps and faucet/ toilet valves. Makes electrical repairs such as light switches, receptacles, ballasts, and lamp replacement. Performs various carpentry functions, to include repairing tables, desks drawers, chairs and doors, minor painting, wall repairs, and ceiling tile replacements. Moves office equipment and furniture when required.
