The Rental Sales Rep is responsible for developing and enhancing sales coverage within a designated territory consistent with Wagner Rents' customer satisfaction philosophy. Must meet or exceed monthly budgeted rental revenue, consumable revenue, and growth of territory market share goals. Pay Rate: Base Pay + CommissionsPay rate dependent on education and experience.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Learns and understands how to use the work order system. Completes all documents and parts orders associated with repairs in an accurate and timely manner. Identifies parts for return timely.Works effectively with others in the shop and accepts helpful technical advice from others with more work experience.Communicates effectively with Shop Leads, Shop Coordinators and Managers to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed up on.Always engages in required safety practices and maintains quality housekeeping in work area.Work is accomplished to the Service Departments quality standards, within allowed time.Reads and understands the manufacturers' Operation and Maintenance Manual per machine type and complies with its contents.Inspects equipment and maintains equipment to ensure safe operation.Understands the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of any piece of rental equipment to ensure all operating controls and functions are in compliance with manufacturers' specifications.Inspects machines returned from rental for customer damage and notifies the supervisors regarding any specific damage that was found.Adhere to manager's and lead mechanic's directions regarding all repairs and service calls.Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures with appropriate supervision.Assist in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment and components.Attends training as requested.Assumes yard duties as needed; loads/unloads equipment and cleans returned rental equipment with pressure washer.Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs.Other duties as assigned by manager.Required Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GEDGraduation from a technical school with emphasis on diesel engine preferredHeavy equipment, engine, or mechanic repair experience1-3 years administrative/clerical experience1-3 years customer service experiencePhysical Demands & Competencies:Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearingAscending or descending ladders, stairs, etc.Heavy work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds or moreData Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skillsSafety & Product KnowledgeUnderstanding of diagrams and schematicsIntermediate diagnostic aptitudeBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Wynne, and ET/SIS/SIS Web/STWBasic knowledge of Windows/InternetWork Environment:Noise: ModerateIndoors and OutdoorsSpecific Risks: Works with moving, mechanical parts; may work in high places and be exposed to equipment vibration and fumesOther Duties:Job Offers are contingent upon all required pre-employment screenings which may include but are not limited to background checks, drug/alcohol testing, fit for duty testing, and any other job-related tests/screenings.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
