Venture Solutions (a Taylor company) is seeking a Software Development Manager

who will be responsible for leading a team of Software Developers. The team is working on a growing product area focused on building new tools that help our customers modernize their traditional customer communication processes. The role will be responsible for hiring, performance and quality management, technical coaching, process development and oversight, technical leadership, and capacity management. It will coordinate work assignments in collaboration with Project Managers and Product Owners, engage with the Architecture and DevOps teams, and work with the Operations teams to help support the product. Your Responsibilities: Manage team of up to 10 Software Developers Manage staff time, work assignments, and skill-building activities Act as primary coach, mentor, and trainer to team members Support incident and problem resolution Lead code reviews and ensure coding standards and security practices are followed Participate in projects as a consulting resource Support product enhancements and system modernization improvements You Must Have: 5+ years in a direct staff management role 7+ years as a developer in the following areas: data integration, web applications, and application security Microsoft Visual Studio, Devops, C#.NET, VB.NET, MS SQL, IIS, HTML, JavaScript, REST/JSON, XML, Atlassian JIRA Expertise with both traditional waterfall and Agile/Scrum processes Comfortable communicating with management team members and senior management Four year college degree We Would Also Prefer: Experience with projects confidential and regulated data (PHI, PII, PCI, etc.) Experience introducing test automation tools and processes Experience working with offshore development teams Experience with document production software (billing statements, EOBs, ANOCs, invoices, etc.) and mailing/shipping processes About Taylor Corporation One of the largest graphics communications firms in North America, Taylor's family of companies provide a diverse set of products, services, and technologies addressing the toughest communication challenges.
