**Responsibilities:**

+ Assist Operational Excellence in the deployment of Lean methodology at manufacturing plants or business function departments level.

+ Support implementation of initiatives that support business objectives utilizing Lean tools. Conduct standardized and effective development and certification of Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the application of Lean tools.

+ Implement process improvements in manufacturing operations or business function areas by applying Lean tools and systems, such as value stream mapping, the lean management system, continuous improvement events, 5S, and operator/process standard work.

+ Support continuous improvement projects regarding project direction, progress, and effectiveness.

+ Ensure cross-functional team participation occurs during lean events and projects.

+ Develop and create current state and future state value stream maps and coordinate active continuous improvement events to reduce capital requirements, improve process flows, and reduce overall costs year over year.

+ Work in conjunction with Operational Excellence to provide Lean oversight of assigned manufacturing operations or business function areas.

+ Assess needs of assigned areas based on operational performance metrics, improvement implementation, and sustainment behaviors per the Crown Lean Assessment and Roadmap.

+ Partner with area leadership teams to facilitate development and execution of strategic and tactical plans incorporating the development and certification of SMEs and the application of Lean methods.

+ Support sustainment of improvements through leadership team coaching on Companys Lean Management System principles.

+ Support business and/or manufacturing functions in development of new technologies and processes through analysis from a Lean methods perspective.

+ This intermediate position reports to the Plant Manager, Business Function Manager, or the Director of Operational Excellence.

**Qualifications:**

+ 2-4 years related experience.

+ Bachelors degree (Technical)

+ _Non-degree considered if 12+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED_

+ Frequent travel (6-20%)

+ Frequent overnight stays (6-20%)

+ Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Good communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills with prior experience working with cross-functional teams.

+ Successful Lean implementation and structured problem-solving experience.

+ A Six Sigma yellow or green belt.

+ Technical skills such as 3D modeling, value stream mapping, and process simulation software application experience.
