Primary Function

Assist with day-to-day operations of the Columbus Symphony's marketing department with a primary focus on patron communications, social media and digital management, email marketing, special events, and administrative support to the Vice President of Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities • Assist in implementing subscription and single ticket direct mail and digital marketing campaigns. • Compose and implement weekly email messaging via Wordfly to communicate symphony initiatives, activities, and community outreach. • Coordinate creative for promotional materials including print, digital, social, tv, radio, outdoor, and direct mail. Submit the final creative for placement on or before the deadline. • Create and manage digital marketing campaigns and initiatives on Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok to increase engagement. • Conduct regular analysis of campaign results on Tessitura, Google Analytics, and social channels to make actionable changes and ensure positive ROI's. • Monitor website for accuracy and coordinate website updates. • Regularly post to community calendars to share symphony events. • Manage relationships with community partners including influencers, and local publications. • Help coordinate and manage special events before and after concerts such as wine tastings, toy drives, happy hours, patron events, college club events, autograph signing, and mascot appearances. • Serve as onsite photographer and/or coordinate and manage photo shoots and video recordings for upcoming events. • Represent organization at community engagement events. • Assist in writing scripts, radio, and TV commercials. • Coordinate emcees and photographers at concerts and assist with ticket distribution to promotional partners. • Manage the creation and content of the Bravo program books, ensuring all books are printed and delivered on or before deadlines. • Coordinate promotional materials for shows and events. Ensure orders are delivered on or before the deadline. • Coordinate and implement in-house signage and marquee copy. • Coordinate creation and scheduling of slide and video content for monitors throughout venues, keeping messaging accurate and up to date. • Oversee marketing interns and activities to support department. • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Teams. • Excellent writing and communication skills. • Familiarity with CMS, preferably WordPress, and basic HTML website maintenance. • Ability to prioritize and multi-task on a day-to-day basis. • Adaptability, creativity, working independently and collaboratively. • Has a sound understanding of the principles of marketing, branding, and PR, with a keen visual sense of design standards.

Credentials and Experience • Bachelor's degree in marketing, arts management, public relations, or related field. • 3+ years of related experience. • Advanced experience in social networking and social media marketing, executing paid and organic campaigns. • Experience with digital marketing campaign creation, placement, management, analytics, and optimization. • Advanced computer skills in Adobe Creative Suite a plus. • Video creation and/or graphic design experience or familiarity with Canva a plus. • Knowledge of Tessitura ticketing platform a plus.

Special Requirements • Available to work evenings and weekends, as necessary. • Must have reliable transportation. • Background check required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
