Job Title: Financial Analyst Location: Bloomfield CT USA 06002 Duration: 6+ months Shift Time: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week Description Must Have: Significant experience in Manufacturing Plant and Complex Accounting, including supervisory experience to manage a team of accountants and/or complex processes interacting with multiple individuals outside of the department. Knowledge and experience of Finance systems and tools - Oracle, Bolt, JDE, Planful, HFM are beneficial. Performing and/or overseeing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the company’s general ledger, resolving complex accounting issues from routine and non-routine transactions. Reviews general ledger entries, account reconciliations, internal and external reports, schedules, and statements. Regularly reviews existing internal controls and develops new internal controls as necessary, implementing new accounting standards. Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures. Experience with JD Edwards and Planful is a plus. Education College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or similar certification required. Experience At least 8-10 years accounting manager/plant controller experience in the manufacturing industry. Summary Gather and analyze financial information; typically conducts quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. Responsibilities include analyzing and communicating financial information for clients. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related financial discipline required; an advanced degree in financial discipline is preferred. 8-10 years financial and/or accounting experience required. Exercises independent judgment with little to no direction from supervisor. Verbal and written communication skills, diligence, and critical thinking are required. Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time is required. Strong ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses is typically required. Strong knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data is typically required. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting is required. Previous experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other related financial software is required. Major Job Duties And Responsibilities Direct the preparation of financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future earnings or expenses, summarizing and forecasting the organization's financial position. Prepare special reports required by regulatory authorities. Direct the organization's budgets to meet its financial goals. Oversee the investment of funds, manage associated risks, and supervise cash management activities. Execute capital-raising strategies to support a firm's expansion.
