Job Summary

Under the direction of the Senior Director, Solutions & Project Management Organization (Solutions & PMO), the Project Manager manages both product life cycle and systems integration. In this role, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects, ensuring seamless integration of systems, and driving the development and delivery of high-quality products. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product owners, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Their strong leadership and communication skills will be crucial as they coordinate resources, manage timelines, and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record in project management, knowledge of product development methodologies, and expertise in system integration. This role will be based in our Marlborough, MA office reporting to the Senior Director, Solutions & Project Management.

Essential Job Functions

Work closely under the leadership of the product owner to collaborates, coordinates, and drives internal resources, customer and vendors for the flawless execution of projects Ensures successful management and coordination of work assigned to members of the project team. Probes and asks questions of all team members to assure that planned tasks are well thought-out, necessary, complete, and feasible Adhere to the project budget and scope of work to ensure profitability Ensures that tasks are completed in accordance with project plans and in compliance with Doble’s processes, policies, and procedures Provides end-to-end project management using Doble’s project management life cycle processes, including StageGates with required executive team members Develops project objectives, scope, schedules, and budget involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility Develops a detailed project plan/schedule, including dependencies and critical path analysis Ensures resource availability and allocation. Escalates resource issues as necessary to prevent unexpected situations Maintains effective communication, both internally and externally, within the project team and senior management Performs risk analysis and management to minimize project risks and to evaluate their probability and impact Identifies potential project risks and act proactively to resolve issues, focusing primarily on the high probability and/or high impact risks and using risk response planning (risk avoidance, risk reduction, risk transference, risk acceptance) Reports and escalates project risks to budget or schedule to management as needed and recommend appropriate corrective action Monitors and reports on spend to budget and status Routinely prepares reports for senior management regarding status of project(s) Communicates with the team and drive all members to complete delegated tasks Manages and reports changes in project scope, schedule and costs. Recommends and drives appropriate corrective action Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation Continuously improves project management toolkits and methodologies used within the PMO Works closely with the Sales, Engineering and Solution teams on Proposals, RFIs, RFQs to provide input on feasibility, scheduling and project approach Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management

DECISION-MAKING LATITUDE

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

At least 2-4 years of Project Management experience successfully managing small to medium projects in a technical environment Must have an understanding of the fundamentals of project management Experience with MS-Office with particularly strong skills in Word, Visio, and Excel

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):

Practical experience in system integration, including integrating software infrastructure systems Basic technical understanding of test equipment product portfolio design and functionality Experience in working in any of the following industries is desired: Electric Utility or Alternative Energy systems Military (Technical or Project specialties) Commercial/Industrial Electrical Software Development Datacenter applications Process improvement experience Hands on experience with software such as MS Teams, SharePoint, Confluence and JIRA

OTHER HELPFUL CERTIIFICATIONS (Preferred):

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Product Quality Management (PQM) certification Scrum Master Certification ITIL certification Equivalent Certification outside of the US
