Salary Range: $100K-$125K/Annum

Job Description:

  • Client is seeking an exceptional Senior Accountant to join our team.
  • As a Senior Accountant, you will work directly under the CEO with the responsibility of coordinating the family's financial and accounting activities, ensuring precision in daily financial operations, planning, reporting, cash management, investment analysis, and control implementation. Your role will also encompass compliance and risk management, as well as collaborating with external accounting and tax firms.
  • This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Efficiently handle payroll allocations while ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations
  • Liaise with outside partners including tax, accounting and legal teams.
  • Review and disseminate financial reports prepared by external accountants
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls, systems, policies and procedures to ensure operations apply industry best practices and are in compliance with internal guidelines, policies, regulations and reporting requirements
  • Serve as the initial on-site point of contact for inquiries, problems, and exceptions related to tax strategies, account activities, and financial reporting
  • Work with external auditors to prepare for and respond to audits
  • Prepare, review and disseminate weekly cash positions
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Accounting required from an accredited institution
  • 4+ years of comparable experience in a family office or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word and accounting software (Bill.com, QuickBooks, Etc.)
  • Strong leadership and management skills and ability to collaborate across many teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and strong emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrates a very high level of discretion when handling confidential information and personal attributes, including integrity, professionalism in attitude and appearance, and trustworthiness
Preferred Skills:
  • Current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred
  • Family office accounting with tax experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success working in a deadline-driven environment managing multiple tasks; ability to pivot quickly and maintain internal controls
