We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to inpatients and/or outpatients via nutrition screenings, assessments, consultations and counseling sessions. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for nutritional management and care of patients according to physician diagnoses. Prepares appropriate documentation and follow-up for same. Responsibilities will include performance improvement and assisting in department, if needed. Reviews the interdisciplinary screening process and assigns a priority level of risk for patients.You will provide evidence-based nutrition counseling to patients on modified dietsYou will conduct nutritional screenings and assessments of patientsYou will collaborate with physicians to coordinate and implement nutritional recommendationsYou will identify and communicate potential nutritional implications of medications and document this information in patients' recordsYou will assist the Food Service Department Dietary Aides with patient food selection and which foods are allowed and disallowed based on the prescribed dietWhat qualifications you will need:Licensed Dietician must be obtained within 60 months of employment start dateCommission Dietetic Registration must be obtained within 60 months of employment start dateBachelors DegreeSt. David's South Austin Medical Center, which is part of St. David's HealthCare.
