Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of general accounting procedures, internal controls, and tax laws
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in QuickBooks, ADP Run, Excel, and other related computer skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Work well independently and collectively
Experience:
QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions (Preferred)
Proven experience in payroll processing, financial statement preparation, and general ledger accounting
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze data and identify trends
Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation and accrual accounting
Familiarity with private equity transactions is a plus
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities:
Management of accounts payable process, reviewing invoices, internal check requests, credit card bills, and expense reports, ensuring timely payments
Maintains the accounts payable files and documentation on an ongoing basis.
Prepares and processes billing invoices in a timely manner
Contacts vendors whenever problems with invoices arise, such as price discrepancy, missing invoices, credits, etc. Works with other departments in resolving problems with invoices
Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare financial statements and reports, analyzing data and identifying trends
Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist with financial acumen by providing analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
Support financial accounting functions, including month-end and year-end close processes
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to provide financial services and support
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Assist with accrual accounting processes to accurately reflect expenses and revenues
Provide support in private equity transactions, including due diligence and financial analysis
Liaison between CPA for tax preparation and financial reports
Create processes and procedures as necessary
AP and AR management
Collections as necessary
Performs other related tasks as assigned
