Assistant Director, Customer Service Management

The Expo Group is seeking an Assistant Director, Customer Service Management to oversee, lead, and mentor teams of up to 12+ team members. They will also be responsible for managing team expectations and employee performance.

This position is based at our Orlando, Florida or Irving, Texas office,

and while hybrid options are available, you should be able to regularly commute.

We're looking for someone with at least five years of relates experience, preferably in the trade show industry who is comfortable leading a team and dealing with the many aspects of customer service. Attention to detail, a willingness to learn, well developed time management skills and polished communication skills are vital for success. You should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be comfortable learning new software.

Our perfect candidate will:

Manage all process and procedures and roles and responsibilities with all direct reports Assist with all hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members Perform yearly employee performance evaluations and approve all timecards for direct reports Work with the Vice President, Director, and other Assistant Directors with all scheduling of team members on all events Work with the Vice President and Director with succession planning and career path growth for all direct reports Develop strong internal peer network with other teams Meet with Project Management leadership and other department leadership to ensure a balanced cross functional relationship Assist with departmental budgets Assist with ensuring vendor management ordering deadline dates are being met Participate with any suggested change to operating systems
