Job Title: Junior Accountant Job Description: Cape Fox Shared Services (CFSS) is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team. The Junior Accountant will assist in accurately recording day-to-day financial transactions. They will be responsible for assisting with various operational finance tasks in relation to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, timesheets, journal entries, account analysis, and financial reporting. This position will be involved with accounts payable reviews, maintaining balance sheet schedules and subsidiary ledgers, as well as assisting with various special projects as needed and directed. Responsibilities:

Check incoming mails, and ensure things are forwarded to the appropriate people. Scan AP invoices, check deposits, and other documents as needed. Assist with Accounts Payable invoice coding as needed. Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries. Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check, and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices. May perform monthly bank reconciliations. Prepare analysis of accounts as requested. Reconcile, adjust, and maintain balance sheet accounts such as prepaid expense, fixed asset depreciation, inventory, and intercompany. Assist with payroll administration and timesheets. Process bank deposits and take deposits to the bank. Assist with monthly and yearly closing of the books. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and work closely with the Commercial Business Manager to support the completion of a timely audit. Assist with updating the accounting system in accordance with GAAP. Interact with the Commercial Business Manager on a daily basis and assist on special projects as directed. Perform many duties using computers and other devices. Travel Requirements:

An associate degree in Accounting or Finance, or two years of relevant experience is required. Solid Microsoft Office Suite skills with a high skill functioning level of Excel Spreadsheets is required. Experience with Deltek/Costpoint is preferred along with accounting experience in the hospitality industry. Ability to access and accurately input information in a fast-paced environment. Must have knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e., journal entries, debits, credits, etc.) and accounting functions. Ability to work independently to complete duties and projects. Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines. Must have excellent organizational skills. Ability to interact professionally with executive management. Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
