Job Description
Main Sail is seeking a Change Management Lead to support a Dept. of Energy client, BWXT. BWXT manages nuclear and national security operations for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). The Change Management Lead will be responsible for leading and facilitating change management strategies and initiatives across the organization under the direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the successful adoption of organizational changes within high-consequence nuclear and national security operations, aligning with BWXT's mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement change management strategies that minimize resistance and maximize employee engagement and adoption of new changes.
- Work closely with department leaders and the CIO to identify potential areas of change resistance and develop plans to address them effectively.
- Coordinate with communication, training, HR, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to change management.
- Monitor and report on the progress of change management efforts, providing updates to the CIO and other senior leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in change management, preferably in complex, high-consequence, or national security environments.
- Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Location
Combination of remote with approximately 50% travel to sites located in Lynchburg VA and Oak Ridge TN
