Job Description Job Description Job Title: Digital Accessibility SpecialistWork Mode: 100% RemoteDuration: 6 monthsPay Range: $50/h - $64/h on W2, depending upon experienceWhat you will do in this role:Engage with users and researchers to understand their unique accessibility needs for our products, including defining and synthesizing user types, use cases and specific UX opportunities.Create and execute on processes for regular accessibility audits on the product suite.Verify compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, ADA, Section 508, and other laws related to accessibility.Collaborate with the broader team to define and deliver manual accessibility testing standards.Discuss defects and offer design and high-level code guidance and solutions.Act as the team expert on accessibility.Be the point person for accessibility questions and work to educate the wider team on delivering accessible products.What you will need to be successful in this role:Demonstrate experience driving accessibility in digital, customer-facing programs.Expertise in accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1 AA, ADA, Section 508, and others as appropriate.Strong experience with a broad range of accessibility platforms.Web accessibility on Windows and macOSMobile accessibility on Android and iOSVideo and other digital mediaBroad experience with digital assistive technologies (i.e. JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack)Based on the job description, what are the must have non-negotiable items that a candidate must have to be successful in this role?Expertise in accessibility standards and experience with accessibility platforms and digital assistive techDoes this position require to sit onsite?No, fully remote.Does this position have the opportunity to extend beyond the initial contract or convert to FTE?TBD, based on performance and needs of the business.Is there a specific laptop that needs to be used for this role (i.e. - Mac or Windows)?Team primarily uses Mac but Windows works as well.Education:Bachelors degree or 5+ years of related work experience.Russell Tobin offers eligible employees comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), a 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, identity theft protection, legal support, auto and home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with some preferred vendors.#LI-HP1#CBCompany Description Russell Tobin is an equal-opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
