TL;DR Kharon is seeking a full-time Denver-based Vice President of Finance. This is a hybrid role with weekly in-office expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES - Financial Management
  • Lead Kharon's financial strategy and planning process, overseeing budget and forecasting to ensure alignment with strategic goals and operational needs.
  • Own the financial models that provide accurate projections in terms of performance and operational metrics.
  • Establish budget and operational metrics in support of functional leadership.
  • Coordinate and produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management, emphasizing financial and operational analysis (e.g., Budget vs Actuals).
  • Collaborate with relevant GTM personnel to streamline planning, measurement, and reporting for Sales & Marketing, including sales team modeling and quota planning.
  • Design and implement durable financial reporting processes that will support tactical and strategic decision making.
  • Track and report on key internal and external metrics and KPIs (e.g., key SaaS measures, revenue/trend analysis).
  • Provide support on investor relations, including preparation of investor/board materials, maintenance of data rooms, etc.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the finance department and all other departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment of financial goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Financial Operations
  • Partner with leadership to oversee payroll, commissions, reimbursements, and sales tax management.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee vendor management program in coordination with leadership.
  • Manage key vendor relationships within financial operations.
  • Oversee business insurance program.
  • Handle periodic statutory filings, including city, state, and other registrations.
  • Identify, acquire, and implement systems and software for critical financial and operational support at scale.
QUALIFICATIONS + NICE TO HAVES
  • Demonstrated analytical prowess and innovative thinking.
  • Practiced in clear and concise communication of complex financial concepts to diverse audiences, both orally and in writing.
  • Exemplary ethics, integrity, and business acumen with proven attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn outside areas of expertise.
  • Proficient in leadership, independent work, and teamwork.
  • Experience in capital raising, equity program management, M&A, and complex corporate actions.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate finance and/or investment banking/PE.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with expertise in financial statement analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency with core FP&A tools and software, experience working with ERP systems (Netsuite, a plus), and willingness to evaluate and manage adoption of new technologies.
  • Strong, hands-on experience with financial reporting and GAAP.
  • Permanent US work authorization
  • MBA or other graduate/professional degree preferred, but not required.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will add depth and experience to further our financial management capabilities, will foster operational excellence and ensure alignment and collaboration on financial objectives across all departments at Kharon. Responsible for propelling our continued growth and financial stability, the VP of Finance will work collaboratively with other functional leaders and promote a culture of financial transparency. Identifying areas where efficiencies can be leveraged to support growth at scale, this role will provide analytical insights to support informed decision-making at all levels of our organization.

The base salary range at Kharon is set between $180,000 and $250,000. Please note that this figure does not necessarily include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or equity that may be part of the overall compensation package.
