Job Description
Summary/objective
The Pool/Clubhouse Housekeeper is responsible for all housekeeping services for the pool, main clubhouse, and occasionally its outlets which includes the halfway house, golf shop, tennis, and wellness. This position ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, comfort, and safety for the Club.
Essential functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Cleaning of pool bathroom mirrors, counter tops, sinks, toilets, urinals, showers.
- Sweeping and mopping pool bathroom floors.
- Clean inside and outside pool dining tabletops and clear tables of used plates, silverware, cups, straws, and any other paper left on tables or ground.
- Sweeping and mopping deck floor.
- Put clean towels out on deck and pickup wet towels from the pool deck.
- Remove wet towels, transport to laundry, and replenish with clean towels. (4-5 times daily)
- Empties wastebaskets and ashtrays throughout the day.
- Remove spider webs from pool house daily.
- Cleans recreation tables, water fountains, and ice machine.
- Wipes all windowsills, walls, and light switches.
- Vacuums rugs and floors.
- Dusts all furniture and fixtures.
- Checks lamps for burned-out light bulbs.
- Checks drapes for missing hooks.
- Wipes mirrors and windows.
- Checks heating and air conditioning unit for proper operation.
- Restocks all stationary.
- Cleans and sanitizes toilets and urinals.
- Washes tiles, tub, shower walls and fixtures.
- Wipes shower curtain.
- Cleans sink and fixtures.
- Cleans walls, baseboards, and floor.
- Restocks towels, wash cloths, soap, glasses and other supplies and amenities.
- Reports when rooms are clean and ready for use.
- Stocks storage rooms.
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
- Knowledgeable about maintaining, cleaning, and preserving a wide variety of surfaces.
- Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
- Typically, work will be indoors.
- Regularly exposed to contaminates and diseases or infections while working with cleaning chemicals and soiled items.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and climbing.
- Use ladders/step stools when required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of comparable work.
