Job Description

The Strategic Analysis Manager will lead the day-to-day activities associated with insights and analytics to facilitate key strategic efforts at Cetera. These efforts include competitive analysis, segmentation, and pricing, as well as exploring complex opportunities such as new business incubation.

This is a hybrid role in one of our office locations: El Segundo, CA | San Diego, CA | Denver, CO
Dallas, TX | Des Moines, IA | St Cloud, MN | St Paul, MN | Schaumburg, IL | Atlanta, GA | Boca Raton, FL | Enfield, TX.

What you will do:
  • Lead the organization's annual segmentation analysis and implementation, which includes analyzing data preparing materials and presenting to the organizations Management Committee, Channel Heads and Presidents.
  • Perform competitive pricing analyses and recommend improved pricing structures where applicable to business leaders across organization.
  • Frame complex internal challenges (e.g. which markets to enter or exit, which advisors to target), through research; allowing executives to make key decisions on resource allocation and path forward.
  • Research market entry strategies and incubation business strategies.
  • Respond to ad hoc business requests for strategic guidance and/or analysis.
  • Partner with team members, leaders and other Cetera stakeholders on various projects and initiatives as they develop.
  • 10-20% of Travel, depending on physical location of incumbent.
What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field preferred but open to a variety of degrees or equivalent Minimum of 4 year(s) of experience in corporate environment,
  • A high degree of business acumen, a strategic orientation to thinking, and the ability to see the systemic implications of decisions.
  • The analytic and strategic skills necessary to take a project or initiative from the idea phase to implementation.
  • Strong quantitative and Excel modeling skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead through influence.
  • Solid leadership skills, with an ability to lead internal and external resources.
  • Ability to be nimble and respond effectively to rapidly growing organizational requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships and engage productively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, the ability to work both independently and as a member of cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, demanding business environment.
What is nice to have:
  • Working knowledge of financial services industry or management consulting preferred.
Compensation:

The base annual salary range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
