Job Description:
As a Logistics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of products while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, warehousing, and transportation to streamline processes and enhance overall logistics performance.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain operations and meet business objectives.
Analyze and evaluate logistical data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Design and implement inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
Collaborate with production and procurement teams to coordinate material flow and ensure timely availability of components and raw materials.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
Provide support for logistics-related issues and troubleshoot any operational challenges that may arise.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (3+ years) in logistics, supply chain management, or related field, preferably in the manufacturing or technology industry.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
Knowledge of ASRS
Proficiency in logistics software and tools such as ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and transportation management systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Relevant certifications such as APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or Six Sigma are desirable.
