Services provided at the UPS Store include receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The associate will grow into becoming an expert in services, products, and value options to advise customers by providing accurate information.The ideal associate has previous retail customer service experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance.RESPONSIBILITIESDelivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiriesContinuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadershipTakes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutionsTakes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trendsOperates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach othersMaintains a clean, organized, and safe working environmentPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED requiredStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe SuitesOutstanding phone skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and mathPrompt, dependable, and responsibleAble to lift 40+ poundsEmployee Type:PermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.Other Criteria: UPS is an equal opportunity employer.
