Working under the guidance of the BIM-VDC team, the BIM-VDC Coordinator will assist to federate and manage design and fabrication models to be used for design development, constructability analysis, building systems coordination and estimation. They will implement and continuously assist in improving the BIM-VDC processes including collaboration with the project team, design and trade partners, estimating, scheduling and ensuring that the project goals are included within our project delivery commitments.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Be a part of a dynamic project team working in a fast-paced environment with Project Managers, Superintendents and Engineers.
Collaborate with the BIM-VDC team to define a project specific BIM Execution Plan and implementation strategy.
Develop, manipulate, maintain and manage 3D models and BIM processes for project use during design development, preconstruction and construction phases.
Support in-house Architectural group on implementing Revit standards and workflows, perform model audits and assist in creating content for Revit families.
Analyze and validate the models provided by the Consultants and make necessary adjustments for use in estimating and construction operations.
Work closely with the site team to create and maintain 4D visualizations to communicate construction schedule and sequence of work.
Work with the Estimation team to perform 5D Quantity take-offs.
Lead coordination meetings with stakeholders, run clash detection, document clashes and track through clash report.
Liaise with various project stakeholders, including Owners/Clients, Consultants, Sub contractors and Site teams.
Manage coordination of work with Subconsultants and Subcontractors utilizing the collaboration platform.
Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training.
Perform model management for collaboration and prepare models/documents for As-Builts.
Assist Business Development and Marketing in creating visually compelling marketing materials, 3D presentation images, walkthrough videos and 4D animations.
Assist in Corporate initiatives, explore and research new and evolving BIM-VDC technologies, train and mentor internal project team members for new BIM-VDC workflows and software.
Job Knowledge & Technical Skills

Project Management:
A good understanding of project workflow from design through to construction with the ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others. Manage time and meet deadlines.
Computer Skills:
Advanced proficiency in the application of all tools and functions: Navisworks Manage, Revit Suite, AutoCAD, Synchro 4D Pro and Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360.
Related Software: MS Office Suite, Primavera P6/ MS Projects, Procore, Trimble Sketch Up and Bluebeam / Nitro / Adobe PDF.
Education & Experience

Education:
University Degree or College Diploma in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) Management.
Experience:
Minimum two-three years of prior BIM-VDC experience, with a mix of general contracting, project management, and/or design.
High level of knowledge of interpreting design and construction drawings.
Ability to translate 2D drawings and specifications into a complete 3D/4D Building Information Model (BIM).
Ability to read schedules and understand the scope of work.
Understand project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination, and fabrication.
Knowledge of industry standards, workflows, data formats and interoperability techniques.
Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand and interpret the required BIM delivery requirements.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting deadlines and changing priorities.
Self-motivated, innovative, good verbal and written communication skills and has ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail.
Must be willing to work at times on active construction site and project site offices.
