We are looking for an AR Accountant for a 6 month contract assignment who is passionate about adding value to the organization by participating in the preparation and review of a complex billing, accounts receivable and revenue process. This position reports to the Director, Accounts Receivable in our Schaumburg, IL office.

The ideal candidate should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both paper and over the phone, as he or she will frequently deal with higher levels of management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation and reconciliation of a complex billing process Assist in month-end close process Customer account and GL reconciliations Conduct account research and analysis, including monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities Strategically prioritize and follow up on all outstanding balances Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues or past due amounts Provide thorough, efficient and accurate account updates Prepare and maintain various reports MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

Knowledge of GAAP Knowledge of accounts receivable and collections Ability to effectively communicate, especially through email Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Proficient in Excel and other relevant computer applications Negotiation and conflict management skills BENEFICIAL SKILLS

Internet industry experience a plus, especially dealing with affiliate relationships Previous month-end close and journal entry preparation experience Knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

BS in Finance, Accounting or related field Minimum of 4 years experience in a senior accountant or accounting manager role.
