JOB OVERVIEWWe are looking for an intellectually curious and driven individual to join our FP&A and Operations Finance team and lead our Engineering Finance function. The group is responsible for informing company strategy, owning planning and forecasting, and performing financial analyses throughout the company to drive critical decision-making. This Director level role will report to the VP of Finance for Ohmium and be the business partner to the Chief Technology Officer. This individual will also work directly with the CFO and CEO.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESKey partner to Head of Engineering with a primary goal of driving product cost structure down.Owns the product cost roadmap and cost reduction cadence to drive alignment and accountability across Engineering and Supply Chain organizations.Provides financial analysis and insights to inform decision making including should-costing for bill ofmaterials and CAPEX investment ROI assessment.Create and manage short and longer term financial forecast for Engineering organization.Manage 1-2 team members based in India collocated with Engineering teams.Partners with Finance and Engineering leadership to prepare board materials, presentations, and monthly reportingDevelops metrics to track business unit-specific and company-wide trends, identify risks and opportunities, provide recommendations, and collaborate across all levels with a bias towards driving actionEnables an analytical, financial approach to influence strategic decision-making across the company

LOCATION, TRAVEL AND WORK ENVIRONMENTHybrid in-office and work remotelyWork location is the Ohmium US, CA (bay-area) office in NewarkMust be willing to occasionally interface with time different time zones such as India, EU

FORMAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENTBachelor’s degree required; business, accounting, finance, management, or economics preferredAdvanced business degree in finance, accounting, or management preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE8+ years of relevant experience in finance, including strategic planning and decision making, requiredEngineering and/or engineering finance background preferredExperience in the energy, industrial equipment, technology hardware, or manufacturing sector preferredPrevious experience working remotely a plus

SKILLS/ABILITIESProficient with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Office SuiteStrong foundation in corporate finance and proficient in GAAPProficient with accounting software, Dynamics and Business Central is a plusWorking experience with financial planning softwareDemonstrated experience in modeling, analysis, and researchPast success leading teams, effectively working cross-functionally, demonstrating strong people skills, and consensus buildingExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKFull time regular employee working at least forty (40) hours per week or such other time on weekends or evenings as is required.
