Job Title: Civil Engineer II/IIIJob Description

We are seeking a civil engineer to join our land development team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in site plan and subdivision design using relevant software and Civil 3D technology. Responsibilities will include completing engineering, stormwater, drainage and utility calculations for constructions plans in accordance with applicable standards. You will also be tasked with completing design details and plan sets for commercial and residential projects, obtaining plan approval from required government agencies, managing various projects, conducting engineering feasibility studies, and communicating effectively with clients, review agencies, and internal staff.

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Mechanicsville, Virginia and some days remote.

Work Environment

This position requires a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 4:00PM with a break for lunch. You will be working alongside a team of four CAD Technicians, split between engineering and surveying. Our team utilizes Civil 3D and Carlson software to perform drafting and design on surveying and engineering documents, with dual monitors available for production drafting.
