This position will be located on-site at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the FP&A team & data architect(s) in developing & refining forecast and outlook submission process and tools
- Be responsible for monthly finance reporting by working with stakeholders to consolidate, harmonize and automate recurring financial reports
- Analyze and summarize GPS financial results, provide variance analysis, and insights to leadership
- Design, develop, and implement interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize and analyze financial data sets
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and new features in Power BI, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance reporting capabilities
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI usage and best practices
- Ensure the integrity of the financial information in our financial tools
- Partner with Corporate finance on key financial deliverables and processes
- Become an integral member of the finance functional team by supporting and/or leading Divisional/Enterprise initiatives as needed
- Develop knowledge that demonstrates active learning about the GPS business and products that are manufactured and sold by Gore
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
- Minimum 5 years of progressive finance and business analysis experience
- Experience with financial system reporting tools
- Demonstrated passion for and either experience in, or aptitude to quickly learn, sophisticated financial tools
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point
- Demonstrated skills: analytical thinking and problem solving, collaboration and relationship building, supporting cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical and communication skill s
- MBA in accounting, finance, or business
- Experience in a global manufacturing environment with responsibilities that include reporting, analysis, and financial system optimization
- Experience or strong curiosity to master Cognos, TMI, and Power BI
