Job Summary:

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Cost Analyst, you will be responsible for the preparation of budgets and schedules for contract work and financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data gathering and analysis to ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, preparation of expenditure projections, and submittal of timely requests for additional funding to the government.
  • Aides in incorporating contractual changes into control systems to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
  • Setting up cost control systems, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring a validated cost schedule control system.
  • Preparing budgets for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports and communicate recommendations to management in a clear, organized summary.

Requirements:

  • Must have 6 or more years of finance experience.
  • Will also consider a Bachelor's degree in related field and 2 years of experience; or Master's degree in related field with 0 year of experience.
  • Knowledge of applications in a computerized environment, including spreadsheet applications and data bases (e.g. MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point).
  • Ability to extract, compile, document and analyze data.
  • Government security clearance (U).
