SUMMARY OF JOB:UP TO $6000 SIGN ON BONUS
The Clinical Unit Coordinator must be able to perform all aspects of the nursing process. She/he must be able to recognize, interpret, document AND demonstrate skills as required by patient population on assigned nursing unit. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Nursing Director, assists in planning, monitoring and improving unit operations in order to achieve hospital goals of quality, service and positive outcomes. Responsibilities include facilitation, communication, assessment, education and acting as a provider of care for clients, families and significant others. As a professional, assumes the role to assist the development of new staff nurses and the future development of the nursing profession. Follows hospital and departmental policies and the Pennsylvania Nurse Practice Act.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
BSN required
Registered Nurse licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia and Critical Care courses
IV certification required
BLS certification required
ACLS required in the ED, ICU, CV Center, PACU, otherwise preferred
PALS required in the ED, NICU, PACU, otherwise preferred
8 hours annual stroke education and NIH certification for Telemetry, ED and ICCU CUC
Specialty certification preferred
Must be able to work alternating shifts and be flexible
Meets performance standards within probationary period
