Implements, monitors and evaluates the overall business functions of the service units. Works collaboratively with Clinical Managers to ensure fiscally responsible unit operations. Handles charge and billing functions, materials program development and implementation, product standardization and coordination. Facilitates the capital and operational budget preparation, implementation and coordinates the monthly variance reporting process for all operational units.Responsibilities:Implements, monitors and evaluates the overall business functions of the service units.Ensures compliance with all JCAHO, state and local regulatory agencies.Participates in departmental quality improvement activities then reports findings, conclusions, recommendations, plans for actions and follow-up.Identifies opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost reduction and works with appropriate managers to effect implementation.Meets with Key physician stakeholders on a routine basis to discuss growth opportunities, strategies to enhance services, and other pertinent issues.Develops a budget plan (capital, staffing, and operational) according to organizational goals.Ensures appropriate communication regarding practices, equipment or supplies which affect the cost per case and billing/coding practices.Implements a mechanism which allows for product requests to be evaluated from clinical, cost and service perspectives.Develops and implements a mechanism for equipment acquisition, storage and maintenance on an ongoing basis.Other duties as assigned.Education: Bachelor's degree in related field. Master's Degree preferred.Certifications: None requiredComplexity of Work:Within the scope of the job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Work Experience: 3years of Materials Management experience in a related field required.Proficiency with desktop applications to assure appropriate support of business function.Knowledge of business administrative functions including budget development and management, cost analysis, operations analysis and project management.Physical Requirements: Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periodsAbility to operate a computer and other office equipmentAbility to travel throughout the hospital systemAbility to communicate and exchange accurate informationIn some locations, ability to move up to 50 pounds.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $27.65Maximum hourly: $42.17The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package, which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement.
