What you will be doing:
  • Develop simulation software to meet desired user experience, functional, and delivery requirements for automotive HMI simulation use cases.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing applications as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum team including product owner, designers, developers, and testers.
  • Create, maintain, and contribute to documentation for simulation environments.
  • Ensure JIRA stories and tasks are kept to up to date with correct assignee, details, status and comments.
  • Write and maintain automated unit tests and ensure test coverage meets agreed upon standards.
  • Contribute to DevOps tools and processes for simulation software, in coordination with peers across JLR's global development sites.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives, demos, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and technical experts to support project execution.
  • Perform code reviews and merge requests as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
  • 3-5 years professional experience developing 3D software in Unity, Unreal, or other platforms/languages required.
  • Experience developing for vehicle simulations is strongly desired.
  • Experience with modern DevOps tooling (GitLab, JIRA, CI/CD, etc)
  • Ability to document and present complex topics to senior management, stakeholders, and distributed teams.
  • High level of oral and written communication skills. (English)
  • Experience with modern DevOps practices and tools, including git, continuous integration, and automated testing.
  • Experience of working with Open Source communities.
  • Experience in working with worldwide cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to understand, design, develop, and test a specified feature with minimum supervision.
  • Experience in software development outside of gaming industry is required; additional experience a with simulations within a regulated industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience is required.
