Release Train Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our software team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in writing scalable, robust, and maintainable code, translating software requirements into high-performance products. This role involves researching new technologies and tools to enhance our current systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitation and Execution:
Facilitate process execution and foster a culture of continuous improvement and integration within the Agile Release Train (ART).
Agile Transformation:
Lead and participate in lean-agile transformations; coach leadership and teams in agile mindsets and new processes.
Servant Leadership:
Act as a servant leader for the ART, supporting team dynamics and enhancing collaboration.
Program Management:
Collaborate with the Agile Program Management Office to ensure program execution and operational excellence within Lean Budgets.
Value Delivery:
Ensure value delivery by facilitating development events and driving continuous improvement.
Coaching:
Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in SAFe and agile methodologies.
Flow Management:
Manage and optimize the flow of work through the program.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment.
PI Planning Facilitation:
Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning events; summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives for transparency.
Impediment Management:
Escalate and track impediments, manage risks and dependencies, and provide status updates.
DevOps Improvement:
Enhance the flow of value through value streams by assessing and improving DevOps practices and the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.
Continuous Improvement Workshops:
Drive relentless improvement through Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and support their development.
Community Engagement:
Foster Communities of Practice and promote Built-In Quality practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven expertise as a Release Train Engineer for large initiatives and Agile Release Trains.
- Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile principles, practices, frameworks, and methods.
- Effective facilitation and teaching methods.
- Proficient in coaching and mentoring, with the ability to distinguish between the two.
- Capacity to drive decisions and resolve conflicts among multiple parties.
- Experience successfully managing agile projects of various sizes and complexities.
Agile certifications such as SAFe RTE, SPC, or CSM are preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably).
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
